I have a corporate s rental car co in Connecticut, the business is not doing well and I may need to file it as bankrupt. My question is I owe state resale taxes that I am having difficulty paying can the state of Connecticut hold me personally responsible for these taxes even if the company is bankrupt.

I am the president and my wife is secretary

Thank you
