Does Veterans Compensation monies count as income against that which I am allowed to keep? Wisconsin Chapter 11

cfortunato :

Hi - my name is XXXXX XXXXX I'm a Bankruptcy attorney here to assist you.

cfortunato :

Are you asking about VA income that you have already received and saved, or VA income that you will receive after your Bankruptcy is filed?

This is in reference to monies I receive from the VA for an injury I received in the service, I want to know of those funds are included in my "allowed to keep" monies and do they count against the total each month

Thank you for your response.

Absolutely the only income that is not included when calculating one's monthly Bankruptcy payment is Social Security income and Unemployment Income.

VA income is included when determining one's monthly payment.

I think this is what you wanted to know. If not, please let me know.

Thank you.
