You can fire your current attorney, and hire a new one at any time. You do not have to wait until your case is dismissed.
If your current attorney is unresponsive, or otherwise cannot prevent your Chapter 13 from being dismissed, a new attorney may be better able to help you, so that your case is not dismissed, or to file a new one if the current case is dismissed. If you do decide to use a new attorney, you should call the Pennsylvania Bar Association to ask for a recommendation. The number is 800.932.0311.
