I have a pending foreclosure sale date of Tuesday, December

I have a pending foreclosure sale date of Tuesday, December 7th. In Texas, can I file bankruptcy at this late date to stop the foreclosure and give me time for other options?
Yes. As long as you can give notice to the foreclosure trustee before the sale begins, you can stop the sale by filing for bankruptcy.

A bankruptcy lawyer can electronically file your case with the court and notify your creditor in a very short period of time. But, it takes about a day to go over the paperwork and get the info from the client -- so, if you don't find someone tomorrow to work the case, you may be too late.

The typical consumer bankruptcy costs about $2,500.
