I had a felony conviction 17 years ago. I have recently

Resolved Question:

I had a felony conviction 17 years ago. I have recently been applying for jobs and the applications tell you they go back 7 years, some go back 10 years. If the application says that do I even have to disclose the conviction 17 years ago.

Hi JACustomer,

If the application asks for convictions within the past 7 or within the past 10 years, the company is not interested in what happened 17 years ago. In other words, you would not have to disclose those convictions.
