Customer Question

My wages are being garnished, I filed Exemption as HOH, can they continue to garnish until a hearing?

Thank you for your question.

Since you filed an exemption as head of household, the court will hold the garnished wages in escrow pending determination of your head of household status

Will they continue garnishment until then? I read that in Florida, I have to agree in writing as HOH before they can garnish.

That is true, however your HOH status can be challenged
