Vehicle sales

Resolved Question:

Filing chapter 7 in Oregon. I was forced to sell a 92' Rv, a 06' Jeep and a 92 corvette in December 08. They were all free and clear. I am afraid to mention them. The money is gone and we are broke. My wife is on SSD, I unemployed. We are close to signing papers. Will they become aware of the sales? If so what are the repercusions?

Hello,

If you used the proceeds from the sales for your living expenses, it would be considered a legitimate use. However, if you fail to disclose the sales and the trustee discovers the omission, you could lose your discharge and have bankruptcy fraud charges.
