i filed chapter 7 bankruptcy, May 19, 2006 and it was not discharged

i filed chapter 7 bankruptcy, May 19, 2006 and it was not discharged because i did not complete the legal education and credti counciling requirement and i would like to know if i can re-file under the original action.

Unfortunately, if your case was dismissed for failure to provide the counseling class certificate or any other reason, you must refile the Chapter 7. You cannot reopen a case that was dismissed and not discharged. You must wait 180 days to refile and you are well past that timeframe. You cannot file bankruptcy again for 8 years from the date of discharge.


You will need to pay the filing fee again, and complete new schedules.
