I'll do my best to try to help you with this concern. I'm sure some of this behavior is directly related to Asperger's, however, many patients affected by Asperger's also have behaviors that are, indeed, consistent with OCD, anxiety, ADD, and the like. As patients with Asperger's have difficulty appreciating the feelings of others, they can sometimes be challenging to work with. And, since most of them are very intelligent, that sometimes becomes an issue as well. When you tell her something like not to interrupt when you have a friend over and then she does that you should remind her of what you discussed earlier and continue on with your conversation. (You might want to discuss this with your friends in advance to prep them) Glaring, looks of discouragement, body language and the like will likely be lost on her as people affected by Asperger's don't typically have a good appreciation for more subtle or non-verbal clues. I might also try to sit down with her outside of a time when you are frustrated about something and speak with her directly about the argumentative behavior. For example, "Sometimes when I try to help you it seems that you get a little defensive and cut me off. Since I'm here to help you that kind of response can make my job very difficult. Maybe there's another way I should approach you about these kinds of issues. Do you have any suggestions?" If you try to approach it as your problem and explain to her that you don't always know how to respond to her behavior you may be able to avoid some of the defensive replies she's handing you.
