I am enquiring on behalf of my partner. 
He currently has a interim FVRO on him from his ex wife, that he objected to. On the 30th he was interviewed by police in regards ***** ***** allegations and they dismissed it. 
We had the trial last Friday but the applicant was not prepared so it was adjourned until end of April. 
We are both not in the financial position to have representation at the trial, however we would like to know if we can basically do one of the following, in order of preference. 
Send correspondence to the applicants lawyer in attempt to get her to withdraw the order. 
Apply to attend a shuttle conference instead of a trial- legal advice on the best way to represent himself. 
We already have a text message from her stating she wanted to drop the FVRO for the children involved- which is why this was all initiated in the first place when she went to the police with the false allegations but would like to keep it for herself. 
No history of police reports, medical reports etc and there were no issues in regards ***** ***** care for the children before I came onto the scene. 
He has always been a very active/involved parent. 
We had a plan/path we were going to go down last Friday but obviously with it being adjourned we didn’t have the opportunity and now after wasting our time we would just like to know we’re doing it 100%. 
My partner also initiated mediation back in December as when she put this FVRO on him she refused to let him have his weekly visits. These visits could be anywhere between 2-5 nights, as well as school pick ups/helping while the applicant worked. Until we suggested supervised visits. I have been supervising all visits since. Which is 2 nights a week. We’ve asked for unsupervised and she’s said no. 
They have their second mediation end of this month and he has already got a parenting order/knows what he wants to do and needs to do legally moving forward with that side of things. It’s just this FVRO he needs advise on.
