I booked a holiday to Norway with Imagine Cruising (now
I booked a holiday to Norway with Imagine Cruising (now trading as Imagine Holidays) on Jan 4 2020 (pre-covid) to holiday in Jan 2021. When the borders were closing in March, they rang a told me I had to pay for flights and I asked to wait and they said I'd lose my deposit so I paid. In July, they rang to postpone our trip to Jan 2022. I asked if we could get a refund and was told no. I did get the money back for my international flight. Our balance was due in September 2021 but they said we had to wait until November to see if we will depart or not. I emailed them last week explaining that everything was booked pre-covid and the world has changed a lot since then. I explained that we did not wish to travel in Jan 2022 as my 11 year old son can't get vaccinated. I explained that we are teachers and can't get extra time off to quarantine. I also explained that I didn't feel safe travelling overseas as the world is just learning to live with COVID, and being Victorian, we are still in lockdown. I asked what my options are right now. I offered to postpone for another 12 months and the response I got was rude and basically I have to wait until November. Are they allowed to defer the final payment date because that's what suits them? I would have thought if they couldn't guarantee the trip by the due date we should have been offered a refund. I really want my money back because this company have been rude, dismissive and bullies. … read more

Not sure how to explain this in short. My son separated from
My son separated from his ex in January & went to VCAT to get his name off the lease, but couldn't, it was month to month lease, he agreed to pay the rent when the ex moved out, but because his ex is psychotic ( crazy) she decided she's not going away, the rent is nearly $600 a week, his ex was given until March 13th to move out and hand keys back, which she didn't, so realestate apply for eviction notice, which took the police the whole 14 days to notify her that she has until this Monday by 9:30am to be out, my question is, after all that, does he have to pay the extra rent because she wouldn't go & if he doesn't, will that go against his name. … read more
