i want to make a complaint about Telstra who have done nothing but give me the runaround and has just cut me off after waiting on the line for 20 minutes to make a complaint directly to them. I have received a fee on this months bill for a sports streaming site called Kayo. Telstra want to charge me for this service despite me never signing up to such a service. They also tried to charge me for a Netflix subscription we don't have. The person I communicated with in their call centre dealt with Netflix and has refunded the fee from this months bill however, she told me it was not Telstra responsibility but Foxtel. I've spoken to Foxtel who don't deal with Kayo directly and they put me through to Telstra billing and sales dept who then cut me off after a long wait. I understand the call centres are inundated with the COVIDS 19 upheavals, but when I paid my last months bill minus these extra charges they have added it on to this months as arrears. Every month there is something spurious on my bill and I have to do battle to get them to change the details. We have recently switched to the NBN and find the speed to be less than half the speed we had on broadband: Average 55Bps to 23Bps download. Telstra had promised(verbally of course) that we would have the same performance at the same price with the change. I lodged a formal complaint and they apologised for their "error" and offered a $10/mnth discount for the term of the current contract. I declined saying that the key issue with internet connection is speed, and they have halved mine.
