Yes I started a new job Wednesday 17 March full time as an administrative and receptionist position full-time. After a few days into the role and learning new skills they told me I am responsible for maintaining the staff kitchen amenities, wiping down each day as well as replenishing the paper towels and toilet rolls in the bathroom upstairs for the factory workers and our office bathroom downstairs. I tried to be pleasant and understanding but this was not discussed at my interview nor on my job description. I am a person who will work above and beyond but I do not believe those duties I should have to do. l explained to them that was a cleaners responsibility and perhaps they should look into getting the cleaners in at least twice a week instead of once a week. I'm not joking there must be 17 staff working from the offices downstairs and at least 50 staff outside in the factory. Are there rules for this in today's modern age and also how about abiding by the new COVID-19 rules. The staff kitchen comprised of 3 x large industrial bins one so old it made me sick and had to be opened by used paper cardboard rolls. I didn't even want to enter the kitchen. The owners of the company had their own separate kitchen!! I was so disturbed about the situation I brought it to their attention Thursday a week ago after work hours, the Director and his son said the job was obviously not right for me and they would call me tomorrow. Waited for the call nothing happened so I sent through an email, Managing Director finally called the next morning and said after discussing the situation they agreed the job is not for me. He said I would be paid through to the following week's pay. I received my week's pay but absolutely no letter of separati … read more

I have been working for Menzies aviation Australia for
my name is***** and I have been working for Menzies aviation Australia for Roughly 4.5 years since Apr-2016 as an Operations Officer in form of a part-time contract at the Menzies Operations department then since Dec-2019 I've joined Menzies cargo and I'm working there as a Flight Clerk or Cargo Agent, the reason of that is because at my previous role my hours wasn't enough, roughly 25hrs per week but in here I was getting full-time hours through the week before pandemic but on same form of part-time contract, I didn't know that this job involved too much time pressure and stress even during my training I had a seizure at work that I've never had before, the Ambulance took me to hospital from Sydney airport and I had to be there for couple of hours to passed some tests and Dr told me that I couldn't drive for at least 6 months which it was require for my job to do my duties, doesn't matter how much pressure I had to handle in that situation, and possibly that seizure happened because of the work pressure as Dr acknowledged. After pandemic the company stood me down for a month and then when government provided jobkeeper they wanted me to return back to work, every thing looks normal so far but because of some error at work Menzies managers started to give me alarm notice like first alarm, second alarm and final alarm, it should be noted that on those 4 years that I was working for Operations I've never received any alarm from HR or Operations manager, all of this thing happened so quick. Now they want to unemployed me because of constant error at work and they told me that I can not meet the company requirements and you are not suitable for this job. Now I'm just wondering can you help me to terminate with this situation or is there any chance for me to sue the company for compensation? … read more
