I was divorced in 2010 at which time $20,000 was set aside
I was divorced in 2010 at which time $20,000 was set aside for captial gains tax on our holiday home which my ex husband got in the settlement. He placed in on the market at the time and then took it off. He has finally sold the property last finalncial. I keep asking for him to provide detaiils of how much CGT is payable, and he keeps saying he will check with his accountant. I have given him a deadline close of business Wed 30/7/2018. Also I have requested for the interest on the account to be paid to me and given my account details. He states there is no interest. I don't believe that sum of money since 2010 would be in a non interesting bearing account. am I doing the correct thing in giving him this deadline and seeking interest on the funds? thanks … read more
