I am a salaried permanent employee paid monthly. My employer is classed as essential business during COVID19 and therefore I was instructed to go online and register for the job keeper payment by my employer. The business workload decreased and we are currently only working a four day week. After this happened and I applied for job keeper and working 4 days I was told that I was too use my entitlements (annual leave) as I had too much leave too make up my fifth day of wages. My question is - why am I forced to use my annual leave when my employer is receiving payment for me from jobkeeper. When my leave runs out I have been told I will only get 4 days. I have worked at this business for 13 years. As a salaried employee we have never ‘clocked in/ot' or had any way to track the hours worked. It has just been expected we work long hours. I currently average 12 hours per day .my contract says I'm renumeration is a certain amount per year.
