I have been trying unsuccessfully to get money back from ANZ

I have been trying since the 2/10/2019 to retrieve money from ANZ. The circumstances are as follows: On the 2/10 i put $1000 into the account to pay for mastercard **********. At this time this was to collection house because i had defaulted on a payment sometime ago. On the 7/10 i called Collection House and was informed that teh balance was $800.42 and the balance had been sent to ANZ. I gave Collection House details of my account to pay this money into and they were going to pass on to ANZ I called ANZ the same day and was told that my account was with Collection House and taht they couldn't do anything until it was returned to them. I called ANZ on the 9/10 and explained again and was informed that this would take up to 7 days and again i gave them teh details of teh bank to which to deposit teh balance of $199.58 I didn't hear anything and conatcted ANZ again on the 24/10 and was infroemd from a Renata that all i neeeded to do was provide details at any branch and i would eb able to get the balance over the counter. I attended at Couger Street branch and after seeing about 3 staff was refered to Scott Deavin who sent an e mail to ANZ even though he works for them At thsi time the account was showing a balance in my favour of $193.48 ($6.10 LESS THAN WHAT I THOUGHT) i sent an e mail to Scott correcting him as he said the bank was Bendigo Bank and it actually is Peoples Choice. I contacted ANZ again on the 7/11 and Mia asked and was given my details as she needed to refer to another section. Every time i call them i get informed thatthe person on teh line needs to refer my case to another setcion and so far i have had no joy Can you assist I am in South Australia Tahnk you

Thats about it as i dont know where to go next as each time i coinatct ANZ i seem to be getting fobbed off ANZ have already taken $6.10 from the account which i do not know what for and Scott Deavin couldn't find out so i don't want to be having anymore money taken out for nothing seeing as how i have been trying to get this money from ANZ for over a month They ANZ are quick to take the money but seem to have processes in place that give people the run around

Good Morning

If you do not have all this in writing to the ANZ I suggest you first send them a detailed letter as you have done here and demand they rectify the situation.

Give them 7 days and if they refuse or do nothing then take the matter to AFCA

You have to how you have tried to rectify the situation and the bank has refused before going to AFCA

The more details in the letter the better

This is the simplest and cheapest option
