Someone as made an account in my name with Vodafone and defaulted on it preventing me from getting a loan I have been trying to get this off my credit report as this is not me but nobody is giving more information so that the police will do the report watch the best way to go about this

Have you spoken to Vodafone and confirmed if you owe them any money?

I have spoken to Vodafone on several occasion and they won't give me any information in regards ***** ***** account they keep telling me file a stat dec which requires a police report which police are saying they won't do without more information

I have never had an account with Vodafone I have found today that there is an account with my name after speaking to Vodafone but I can't access it

Good Morning

In that case send them a letter setting out that you have never held an account with Vodafone and you request they remove the notation on your credit record.

Also set out all conversations you have had with them to date to the best if your recollection.

Ask them to provide you with details of the account and copies of all documents so you can pass it onto the police.

Give them 7 days to do this. If they do not you may have to seek orders from the TIO

You cannot lodge the complaint with them until you send the letter and get no reply.

You also have to report this to the police as it appears someone has stolen your identity.

Also notify the credit authority and request they remove it because you have never has an account and send them a copy of the letter as well
