Last month I put my car in for service because my brake
Last month I put my car in for service because my brake warning light was on, it was serviced on the Friday and as the brake parts needed to ordered from Melbourne I was to return once the parts arrived. The following day the tray under the engine come off the car on the freeway at 100km/hr. A stopped to assist and managed to get the tray from under the car so it could be driven. I rang the dealership and told them what happened on the Monday. I left my car with them the following Saturday as I would be away and they would fix the brakes. I went to collect the car at 7:00am prior to work, I asked about the tray and was it put back on when they ran through the details of the install. It then took over an hour for the car to come up from the workshop. When I got in the car the instead of the brake light on, the shock absorber light was on. I went back in and they said it was a switch problem, car will be back in a minute. When the car came back light was still on, said it was a software updated required, that they couldn't do as they are no longer an Alfa Romeo dealership. I needed to go to a Alfa dealer. I have been ringing the service department to get them to respond but they wont. I took the car in on Tues and they said they would investigate. On Wednesday they wanted me to come to show me under the car. They lfet me waiting 2 hours in the lounge while they looked for 'Fred'. Fred showed me the paint scrapping under the car was the resaon it wouldn't be passed as Service Warrantly and just wanted to patch and tack up the broken piece of the tray that was scrapping on the wheel. They will not acknowledge any damage to suspension despite the warning light. Nobody will ring back, I can't through to management and the reception just says someone will call me back or transfers me the sales team. They just want me to take the car.
