My daughter 20, filed an assault report on 3 Feb, that i held her wrist on 26 Jan 2016, when there was a family quarrel. My wife lodged a verbal abuse report and a Temp DO was granted by the Southport Magistrate's court on 29 Jan 2016. The report lodged by my daughter is "fictitious" as her mother put her up to it. On 26 Jan 2016, when the police interviewed her and asked her if she wanted to lodge a complaint, she said no. However her mum (our relationship is very strained) must have persuaded her to lodge the report to make it difficult for me. The police interviewed me on 12 Feb and I basically refused to answer any questions that related to me "bruising" her wrist. I gave them my version of what happened. I also told them that my daughter is under medication for depression. The police then issued me with a notice to appear in court of 4 April 2016 to contest the common assault claim by my daughter. … read more
