I reported about a month ago about being scammed on line I have been to bank want to know what is being done about it & have they been able to retrieve some of my money I have all receipts passport photo of the person that scammed me FAKE bank a/c I put money in. can you Please help me

Yes the scammed conned me into beleiveing he was comieing to Australia he wanted me to open a/c in my name had to give all my details he was sending money into it the bank LCN BANK LEBANON I HAVE THERE E_MAIL THEY SAID IF I PAYED $25.OOO TO GET A VATE CODE HIS MONWY WOULD BE IN BY 24HRS. THEN THEY WANT MORE $35.000 FOR I.T.P. WHICH I WONT PAY I HAVE BREM IN TOUVH WITH THAT BANK TO CANCELL A/C IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH ME BUT WOMT CLOSE IT OR RETURN MY MONEY THAT THEY HAVE OF MONEY

I have FAKE bank a/c NUMBERS all the receipts of my money put in & the L.C.N.BANK WITH ALL MY DETAILS & A/C NUMBER & VATE CODE THEY HAVE ALL INFORMATION ON ME

I am sorry to hear that you have had your money takejn through a scam.

Contacting ACORN is the correct step.

Also if you have not done so already, you should contact your bank and change all; passwords, and credit cards for extra security.

You are recommended to format your computer as well, and if you are not sure you can request computer services and they will explain how to do so.

The reason why you should reformat your computer is just in case there is a hidden virus in your computer that is tracking your key clicks and other data and sending it to parties who may commit crimes against you at a later date.

Many online crimes occur over a long period of time by a party watching your actions through the computer. This is how they steel information for bank accounts etc..

So in summary:

[1] Change bank account password *****

[2] cancel credit cards and get new ones.

[3] Reformat computer.

[4] Contact ACORN
