Hi, I've had my mobile account with optus cancelled on their end even through attempts of communication in setting up a payment plan for an outstanding amount from July I was involved in a legal situation where my phone was seized by police for several months while an investigation occured made contact with Optus in August and was told I was able to arrange a payment plan, which from my recollection of the call, I did. The then invoice me for over $2000. I have been a long standing customer and always communicate with them and had provided my alternate contact number due to them disconnecting the Optus service while it was overdue

I would have made the payments if I had been told I had to do it manually but I wasn't informed of that, and it also attracts a fee as opposed to the direct debits I would set up with them. Queensland :) I had informed them that I had to divert my funds to covering my legal fees to make sure I wouldn't be associated with the situation but fully intended and had gone as far to set up an arrangement to settle it with Optus

However they pushed it to collections and have said there is nothing they can do. Meaning I will have to recontract and pay them for a service I have not received when it comes to the remaining months on my contract I have yet to speak to collections as I wanted to resolve with optus I have spent several hours on the phone to no result apart from contacting the collections agent

That there has been no attempts at extra communication from Optus informing me no payments were deducted from my account, or that they were unable to honour the payment plan I had believed I set up with the consultant I spoke to in August
