the law does not automatically allow you to get a refund.

The only time you are entitled to a refund is if the product is faulty.

The following is a law as it applies to the whole of Australia.

You can ask a business for your preference of a free repair, replacement or refund, but you are not always entitled to one. For example, the consumer guarantees do not apply if you got what you asked for but simply changed your mind, found it cheaper somewhere else, decided you did not like the purchase or had no use for it.

They do not have to give you a refund if the good is not faulty Or if you change your mind or if you have bought the incorrect product.

Unfortunately this is not advertised and larger retailers such as Myer and ***** ***** give people the impression that they can get a refund of any time.

I do not understand why you proceeded to buy the shoes you didn't want from hundred and $169 when they advised you that you would only get a further credit note for the balance.

They do not have to give you a refund because you made a mistake.
