How to deal with elderly financial abuse. My father had
My father had money in one of his bank accounts separate from his pension account. It was used in case of financial hardship it was money from a sale purchase of 15000,00. My Dad has a sister that needed to borrow money. My Dad gave my aunty access to the account to withdraw 800.00 on good faith she promise my dad that he will get it back. Dad took her word for it. A few months later my father needed to withdraw money out. He went into the bank to withdraw money and the bank explained to my father they had closed his account due to suspicious activity. The bank said to my father that certain amounts of money was withdrawn in small amounts to large amounts. It was taken from amt machines at the same area where my aunty resides. The bank was trying to contact my father to let him know of this activity. My father is vulnerable when it comes to finance , my mother who is now passed took care of their finances and now my father is left with his own care. My aunty hung around my father after my mothers death because she knows that dad will be financial looked after from my mums dividends she collects from land trust which goes to my father. My aunt has put thought into my father that she is claiming she will be receiving 280.000 from my grandmothers estate. My aunty has made promises to my father that she will give money back to my dad. This has been going on for months now to the point my father is now giving her his pension money to try and claim the so called money my nana left behind. There is now money whatsoever in regards ***** ***** my nana has been dead for 40 plus years and the soul beneficiary of her estate is now her grandchildren not her children stated in her will. my aunty is telling so many lies that my father is believing her hence why he is now in hardship. please can you help to seek some advise of catching her out and stop this hassling my father for money. … read more
