Dear Sir,I'm Manjunatha Shivashankar, an independent taxi owner registered in Victoria and driving my taxi in Melbourne. I reside at 1/1 Dunlop Avenue, Ascot vale, Victoria-3032.On 20.01.2021, I visited Crown cabs at 10/62-68 Garden Dr, Tullamarine VIC-3043 in search of a Transport Security Camera for my taxi and I enquired about the cost of the same.The fleet manager of the company Mr. Emre Guclu explained me about the types, it's sub-categories and cost of the cameras as follows:Type 1:Brand New camera - $1500Second-hand camera - $1000Type 2:Brand New camera - $2000Second-hand camera - $1500Plus the installation charges for any above type of camera $50. He explained the above details and let me decide my option.So I further asked the difference between new and the second-hand cameras, replying to the same, manger Mr.Emre Guclu said that the cameras have been used in the other taxis before and they have checked thoroughly for any defects before on-selling the same to other customers. But they provide 1year warranty on both brand-new and second-hand camera in both Type 1 and Type 2 cameras and let me decide on the above-said options.So, I decided to buy a Type 2, second-hand camera for $1500 and paid in cash $1550 ($1500 for camera + $50 for installation charges).The manager Mr.Emre Guclu suggested me that the camera installation takes 1 hour until then I can wait in his office or return an hour later.I returned to his office after an hour to get my taxi, the manager said the cameras were installed, I can take my taxi and collect the receipt after 15 days since his staff was on leave. I agreed to the same and left the place.On the same day, When I returned home, I started to read the magazine on page 29, I saw an advertisement for the Type 2, new model camera from the same company at $900 only ($900 included all the installation charges as well). I was surprised and gave a call to the phone number printed on the advertisement and enquired about the price and the person on the call said that it's $900. I collected their address to cross-check, and it was the same address (10/62-68 Garden Dr, Tullamarine VIC-3043) as I visited earlier. I was shocked and visited the company again along with their magazine. When I asked the fleet manager, Mr. Emre Guclu about the advertisement, he told me that the price of $900 printed in the magazine was wrong.Hence, I told him about the call that I made earlier to his company and they said it was $900 on the call. And it was not fair to charge me $1550 for the same model camera. He admitted that the advertisement belongs to his company and the price was wrongly printed and started to verbally abuse me with words like ‘piss off' and ‘don't show your face again here'.Hence, I asked him when can I collect the receipt and he told me to collect it after 15days. I went back on 04.02.2021 and collected the receipt.I have attached the company receipt, a copy of the front page of the magazine, and a copy of the advertisement for the transport security camera on page 29 of the magazine for your reference. Please go through it.So, I would like to raise the complaint on the above-said issue and ask you to interfere in the same and provide me justice. Looking forward to your actions.
