My dad who is 91 had a medical episode on Friday night and had left a tap running as he was walking backwards and forwards trying to clean up something that he had spilt. He was unconscious for several hours and when he came to we was unable to get up and as a consequence of the running tap (and being unaware of a tree root problem in his pipes) he overflowed his sink and flooded his whole unit (a three bedroom unit). He was down on the floor from about 4.00 pm until just after midnight when he finally managed to get himself back up. Due to the lateness of the hour he did not contact us … read more

Patrick/Pearl, I am an owner in a strata block in Sydney. My
I am an owner in a strata block in Sydney. My washing machine in the public laundry has been interfered with a number of times, some of my mail has gone astray or been taken, my car been keyed and complaints made about the occasional use of my motorbike on the property. IThe managing agent is not sympathetic to what is happening or doesn't believe me?!? Am I allowed to install a hidden camera on my washing machine, but not on the communal walls of the laundry to see who might be continuing to do these things. I fear it another owner who does like like my bike but I am considerate with it but think they are just negative/unhappy people ... but interfering with my property cannot continue and I think only evidence against them could make them stop. They have not vandalised the machine so no pics to present. I' feel I need to take something to the managing agent. Would you pls advise hidden camera laws in Sydney for both on and off common property please as I am finding this situation upsetting. Many thanks, Mel … read more
