you may have several options and once of these is claiming adverse possession to the land which is on your side of the current fence if the land is significant if it will be lost to the next door.
if there is nothing wrong with the fence you can seek an oder from NCAT that the fence is not removed.
you will need to place the neighbour on notice as soon as possible advising that you will be taking the matter to NCAT as a disputed claim.
