Travel claim. Qantas plane...

Travel claim. Qantas plane had mechanical fault so we were turned around and had to stay in Sydney overnight and fly again the following day. i was out of pocket for ~$1k but my travel insurance company said it was not covered under a clause they had that expenses incurred due to "technical faults with aircraft" not covered, Surely mechanical issues is one of the main reasons you would take out travel insurance. Can you advise me if i can pursue this further please?

i did, I rang first and then used their custoemr feedback service as directed, I have followed up with a couple of emails saying how unhappy I was with their decision

I will type in my issue for you I am employed by Qantas as a long haul flight attendant. I have been with them for 22 years. I have been off work since May 2017. I had previously had cancer and recovered by a side affect was a lymphodemia in my right leg. I was unable to go back to work and all of my absences are covered by Dr Certificates. In that time I have had numerous Managers, In June Qantas offered voluntary redundancies which was a two step process. I completed step one but not two due to my illness. I have had no contact from Managers at all. Two months ago I was put under a new Manager. She demanded a meeting and I attended. I produced two Dr Certificates stating I was fit to return to work but in a non flying role. My manager focused on the word 'mental' I have no clinical cognitive condition but she has been onerous in allowing me back to work. She has not met many of the Qantas policies in dealing with me. She now wants me to see a Qantas Dr in February and will not allow me to go back to work. I have not been paid since May 2017.
