Halo! We switched our home insurance from Budget Direct to AAMI due unreasonable hike in premium (almost 100$ ). However, during this time but after we had been already with AAMI they (Budget Dir.) automatically, without our knowledge renewed it and dipped into our bank account. We contacted their "chat desk" and were advised to send proof of our AAMI contract and since this situation is classified as "dual insurance" we should be refunded. After almost one week, no reply from them. We tried to contact help desk again and then after countless attempts we eventually concluded our contacts with them must have been blocked. So we are now in situation where there is no one willing to listen us. Paying to premiums for one house. What can be done about this. Thank you for reply. Rudolf
JA: What state is this in? And just to clarify, when was the purchase made?
Customer: SA. We apologise we cannot find the exact day unless we go to our bank account in computer but we are afraid we could loose contact with you. But approximate time is 23.8.2017. However this is already second time we pay this double insurance since firstly it happened about same time last year.
JA: Has anything been filed or reported?
Customer: We sent copies of our AAMI insurance to***@******.*** but of no avail
JA: Anything else you want the lawyer to know before I connect you?
Customer: We would like to have this problem solved. we believe Budget Direct should refund us.
