Dear customer, your matter is difficult and the lawyer that provided the advice is correct, that you should maintain a detail record of any incident that occurs, as this will come to your aid if there is a claim raised against you.
One option that you may consider is bringing in a family counsellor to discuss the issues between all parties. This can help in various situations. There is no guarantee but it is a positive step in trying to bring a resolution to the issues.
Where there an immediate fair of violence to your person or that of your wife, the last resort that could be considered is a Family Violence Order. However, in the circumstance this will create other extended problems, as well as, how that order will be enforced, if your wife is the full time carer.
