hi i am vodafone customer and still current. last week i went to try to get a phone for my son and they pulled out an outstanding account going way back 2013 and said i owed them over $700 and also this was regarding a pocket wife they sent to me that i did not received and communications and as far as i was concern this matter was settle and someone in their department said they couldnt not contact me and this went on in a circle as i am still their existing customer

Customer: they said they have sent it to debt collector and now it is outstanding in their account and i totally do not understand this and this was so long ago and I would have resolved and settled then

Customer: I have moved to footscray and at the time this thing was happening in another house and i did not signed or receive any of the device

Sadly, although it was way back in 2013, some time ago, it is still not statute barred for them to sue and chase you for the debt.
It is well inside the limitation period sadly.
You can however make a complaint to the ombudsman:
