My mother stole some money ($5,500) from my auntys go debit
My mother stole some money ($5,500) from my auntys go debit credit card about 7 years ago. When she found out my aunty had realised she had money stolen from her and had gone to the police my mother came to me telling me she did something wrong. She explained to me that she stole the money off the debit credit card by withdrawing it from atms because we had no money to pay bills. My aunty had purchased a family car for us through finance and my mum was petrified she would find out it was my mum who stole it and would take back the car she got for us. My aunty was told to go retrieve video footage but before she did my mum asked me to say it was me who stole the money off the debit credit card because I was just a kid and wouldn't get I as much trouble as she would. My aunty never went to retrieve the video footage because my mum and I went around to her house to tell her it was me. A few weeks after that I was sent to live 3 hours away from my family at my dad's house as punishment for stealing the money. Fast forward to the start of the year and my mum's partner has been harassing me and trying to extort the money off me because my mum and her partner paid back that money and now they want me to pay that no ey back to them despite me not stealing it in the first place. My mum won't admit to her partner she stole it and goes along with harassing and threatening me to pay them now. What legs do I have to stand on in retrieving that video footage to show everyone I never stole it. I recently told my aunty what happened and how my mum asked me to lie about it but my mother has been so manipulative that my aunty is confused and won't assist me. Please help! … read more

She was under influence of high pain killer due to her tooth pain and feeling dizzy. She put stuff into her bag because, back home when she go for shopping at DMart (departmental store in Mumbai) they offer shopping bag for small item purchases, basket for items more than 10 and trolly for heavy items. She accidentally put stationaries in her bad thinking of she was putting in her shopping beg. She is a housewife and from a very Rich and Lawful family. My father is one of the rich person of my city belongs from construction and hotel industry. And She travels a lot especially overseas. Her english is very poor as well, hence she didn't quite get of what was going on or what police was telling her. She is happy to pay fine if requires but she is worries about getting this as a criminal record and restricting her visit to Australia or any other countries. My parents are planning to visit USA in November for celebrating their anniversary. She is bit worried about getting her USA UK and Australian visa rejected. … read more

Just a general question on shop lifting, I went to the
I went to the shopping center and met my mother there , she had done some shopping and asked me to take them home for her because she was going to catch the bus home and they were heavy . So I put them in a trolley . Later on I entered woolies to buy groceries . After I paid for my items and was leaving the store person stopped me and said I had some items I did not pay for . They then took out the meats which my mother had given me . I told them my mother had already paid for them but I did not have the receipt . So they asked me to pay for them and I agreed , saying that I would ask my mother for the receipt when I get home . But when I got home and asked my mother she did not have the receipt and she could not remember whether she paid for them or not , she is old and had head injuries At the store they recorded my name and address and my registration number Now my question is will they want to charge my mother with theft ? Or charge me with theft ? … read more
