I have recently separated from my partner as for several months now he has been emotionally abusing me, lying, manipulating me, gaslighting me, having aggressive verbal outbursts also in front of our 2 yo daughter, abandoning her with my sick mother who has cancer for hours and not contacting her, whilst I have been working 2 jobs to get us through COVID, also he has been cheating on me any way he is in the police academy and one of the lies he told me was when I found a pair of women's underwear in his squad bag he flatly denied ever seeing them before and said a member from his squad put them there, I phoned the misconduct team at the academy to investigate this and it turns out it was not a prank at all the other person admitted he did not plant them in his bag, there was no consequence for his actions, that is just one eg of his deceit and manipulation his treatment of me has made me very depressed and withdrawn and contemplating suicide, I have applied for an FVO but I'm now worried that I won't get it because I feel as though he has more power than me being a police recruit and it is so difficult to explain in words how he has been treating me and my family, including my mum, my 15 yo son and our 2 yo daughter, I am worried no one will listen to me or help me like the police academy did … read more

im in a granny flat. private rental. landlord lives in front house. i have been since nov 2020. paying $240 /week including elec and water. we had an argument yesterday as he disturbed my peace. he then threatened to assault me. police have been out 3 times in 30 hrs. he has been turning my power off. and water. he gave me 60 days notice to move out 4 days ago. after the arguement he gave me 30 days. then 2 hrs later said hed been to the court and reckons i have to leave immediately. i am unable to call legal aid as its the weekend. he turned thw power on yesterday afternoon. then off at 11pmish so i rang police and they said i could force the padlock he put on illegally (not ausgrid approved) to keep me out. so i did. 4am he turned it back off... then at 9am he turned it back on. police came aa i called them to speak to him to get him to put back on. he did. water is at a trickle... i went out to get medication as im off work with a bad back and got home to find he had turned my air con isolator off and blocked access to it. he says hes going to turn power and water off at 5pm tomorrow. what do i do :/ … read more
