As I have said the law does not permit the body corporate to stop you.
If they do and they have a by law that says you cannot, then if you take the to court you will win based on the decision that was handed down.
Unfortunately if they will be pushy and keep saying no you will have to go to court. This is your only option.
It is a serviced apartment floor so you can do the same. They cannot stop you if they try you have no choice but to enforce your rights through the court.
