Customer Question

My wife and I have Medical cover with Medibank Private, we submitted various claims in May and August this year in excess of $18,000, they have paid just over $8,000 and we are struggling to obtain payment for the balance. The policy is a Intermediate Visitors Health Insurance cover. The principal claim is for my wife who was hospitalised at the end of last year for six weeks, they have paid all the hospital charges but only part paid the specialist and pathology charges, some of these charges have been paid in full some part paid and some not paid. I have a copy of their Cover Summary which indicates they will pay in full for these services.
Can you help ?

Good Afternoon

Have you questioned them about the non payment and have they have not paid you?

The process is you have to have an internal review and is that fair then you take it to the health insurance ombudsman.
