I was previously working for a disability organisation as a support worker. I no longer work for this organisation. When I commenced working for this organisation I signed a contract agreeing that I would not take on clients from the organisation for a period of four months from when I ceased employment with the organisation. I am now keenly preparing my own private disability support service for under 65's NDIS (sole trader). Now that NDIS has commenced I have three previous clients/carers who wish to employ my private support services. One client/carer have discontinued the services of my previous organisation. Am
JA: Because employment law varies from place to place, can you tell me what state this is in?
Customer: Queensland.
JA: Is the employment agreement "at will," union, full time or part time?
Customer: Casual employment but I did receive rosters

If you are still in the 4 month period you cannot take them on and if you do you are in breach and they will sue you.

The only way you can do this is with their consent.
