After aggressively entering our property giving no reason why they had come to our property(We did not call) they separated us, took my partner outside with one officer and the other 6 were inside. 3 senior officers agressively interrogated me as the Alleged victim for over 2 hours where they were all basically Yelling at me the whole time I felt so vulnerable. The police put me through extreme trauma bringing up my childhood abuse from my father. My partner has never been abusive towards me EVER. They put an avo on my partner and my statement they recorded which I cannot remember is me in an extremely traumatised state acting out something my father did to me in the past. It was like having a flashback to my childhood but they are blaming it on my partner just to tick a box for applying for an AVO. For two weeks I had memory loss after reliving my childhood trauma until I finally realised how horrible and coluded the police were. When I was 17 I went to the police with actual physical evidence and they offered me and AVO and I said no. now aged 26 they have made me relive my childhood abuse and put an AVO on Mitchell without my consent and incorrectly. After taking the false statement all officers (around 7) left my premises left me outside without keys and did not tell me anything. I asked the last officer “am i just staying here by myself? And he told me to “shut up” while taking my partner to the police station. It was midnight by this point and the only person awake was my dad who was the one who had actually physically abused me as a child. This is a complete lack of protection and duty of care putting me back in the hands of the original perpetrator of my abuse. The police have used my past to put me in a trauma state to tick a box. I feel misled and used I have not been about to work or even leave the house since the incident. I need the AVO dropped and I want to address the negligence they showed. My partner was never charged I have contacted them multiple times to withdraw but it now in the Court system. Since they are “appearing on my behalf” it's out of my sau and only a lawyer can have access to a copy of a statement rather than just a viewing. I need help for the injustice me and my partner have experienced - my partner is innocent and making me relive my trauma was the most horrible experience I have been through - I will never me the same again. Forced AVO on my partner by police even though I objected to it vehemently. I have been in a domestic violence cycle previously, not with my current partner. There is no history of violence or any signs, which I recognise instantly because of my past experience. My partners actions were totally out of character. His personality was altered and I believe he could possibly have had his drink spiked. He has no recollection of the events which took place. I have seen my partner intoxicated on several occasions and his behaviour remains the same as when he is sober. He has never shown aggression of any kind to me apart from this one event.
