hi pearl i have just moved out of the house i was rentingas the owner is having it demolished the property manager said the owner was going to give me 1 week free rent so we could move out my rent was due to be paid on saterday the 5/9/20 we ahd moved out on the saturday the 12/9/20 the keys were dropped back to the realestate agent on the morning of teusday the 15/9/20 as every one was at work on the monday and the office is shut on the sunday so we couldnt hand them back on the sunday te realestate is now trying to charge me for rent from the 4/9/20 to the 10/9/20 and the 12/9/20 the 13/9/20 the 14/9/20 as i have already said my rent was due to be paid on saturday the 5/9/20 so in my calculation the week free takes me up to the 11/9/20 we were out of the property by the next day we were unable to hand the keys back on the sunday the 13/9/20 as the office was shut we had the keys back to the office by the 15/9/20 how can they charge me for the sunday when the office was shut the property manager said that if i let him know we had moved it would be ok i cant see the difference we were out and the house is to be demolished its not like they were waiting for us to move so someone else could move in this is in nsw … read more

We moved in here in February and have now been given a 90 day notice to vacate as of 4/11/19. We sent as list of things through to the Agent on 30/10/19 and then received the notice. The landlord is very haphazard about doing repairs and even though the oven and stove top do not work properly he does not want to fix them. The gas stove, the flame goes out if you turn it to the low position but the gas still keeps coming through and he told me not to let the wind blow the flame out. The oven door does not close properly and he said that is just how it sits, but it doesn't cook thing properly. I had a pork roast in the other day for 4 hours at 270 deg C and it did not cook the skin to a crackle. We need to know what we can do about this and if we should persue it through a lawyer? … read more
