We have provided an affidavit /statutory declaration to one our relatives to come and study in Au which includes financial commitment. Below is the format of the declaration we have given. We would like to withdraw our financial commitment. Is it possible to do so. If yes, what is the process? Also, what is the impact of providing such an affidavit. We had done this as a goodwill gesture. However if they default fee payments to the university does it impact us? Are we responsible only for the two year study period and the fee amount stated on the affidavit? If the student fails subjects and is extending his study period and re-enrolling for failed courses etc, what is the liability?
