Have you had experience of this kind of matter? I cant contact my wife so can not ask her to drop charges, if I employ a lawyer, can s/he contact my wife and ask this, my wife is Thai and I don't believe she has a full understanding of the situation?

I feel like I have stolen a jar of candy and been charged with bank robbery, I am prepared to do anything to get them back, she can have the house and I will move out if she needs space.

I am desperately lonely without them and just want reconciliation, I have already had counselling and have more booked Thursday, please give any advice that you can, not just black and white, on a personal level, I will not hold you to it. I made a mistake and want to repair it

Yes, counselling is for anger management, there was no intent in what I did, it was a reaction, I totally regret my reactions

I have been troubled since the end of my last marriage and got very drunk (two years ago), told a police officer to FO and got charged with disturbing the peace or something like that, I pled guilty and got off with a sentence of something like bound over to keep the peace and as long as I did nothing wrong in 6 months it would not appear on my record.

(what is the name of that sentence? might need to know)

Apparently it still shows on my record according to police, and I have to apply for this to be taken off.

Yes my counselling will be on going I need to knock this issue on the head, In 40 years in UK I did not have a record, I was a teacher for 13 years.

Hi I have another question

Since the last question I have been to court, used the duty lawyer and pleaded guilty, I go on Tuesday for sentence, I have asked for anger management counseling.

After coming out of court I was served a VRO. I have responded that I do not consent as it would stop me seeing my daughter (8 months)

I am told I will be in court in 3 weeks, By then I will have been to Relations australia quite a few times and have a letter to prove.

I will have started my anger management course and I am trying to find mediation so that I can let my wife know how sorry I am and that I am seeking help as I want them back, but only after I have improved etc

Any other advice?

I did show the court a letter that proved I had already been to 3 counseling sessions with relationships WA, and I did request more counseling rather than a fine, I also put in a personal statement that explained how it was a one off and I am prepared to get better etc

Next session is on the 12th sept, after once a week and I get my partner back, I intend going once a month for as long as it takes.

Went to see my parish priest this morning after church. He has given me some info, people to contact, I feel like im going around in circles

Can you tell me who to go to for help in mediation to talk to my wife with a view to re-uniting?

Following on from above -

Went to court with the intention of withdrawing my plea of Guilty

Talked to the duty lawyer and she said my situation is indefensible as I had admitted to it and given a statement etc.

I suggested asking for another spent sentence

In court Duty Lawyer asked due to the criminal record etc and that it would stop me applying for certain jobs etc ... could I get a spent conviction?

The magistrate has granted me a continuance in December to see how I get on with counselling and my behaviour, if I have good reports, character refs and other evidence, she will consider the spent conviction, so I have not yet been sentenced

the latest is that a friend of my Partner ( my partner is a Thai national), has told me that my partner has said she only got into the relationship for the Visa. Incidentally we have a 8 month old baby together.

I am preparing papers to send to the family court to get access to my Daughter and to stop my ex partner from taking the child abroad without my permission, the child is an Australian citizen but was born in Thailand.

My Partner is on a prospective Marriage Visa, subclass 300, in which we have to marry before Feb 2014 for it to become permanent.

I am told she will get to stay anyway, cos of the above etc?

No I have not yet put an application in for access orders, I really would like to get back with my partner so I don't want to stir things up too much.

I go to court to on the 2nd of October to defend myself against a VRO, she applied for the VRO when she was really angry with me.

I feel she will rescind as she has calmed down a lot and she has only been doing things like the VRO on the advice of officers at the refuge she is staying at.

CV showing 13 years of teaching and 26 years of employment,

Only 1 previous of drunk and disorderly, (spent conviction)

Two older children, 21 and 22, they will give a reference.

Maybe even ex wife would give a reference?

any other things I can do, what I did was totally out of character, a 1 off, due to employment security stress and having a new family.

Yes makes sense and good advice, but I asked for a spent conviction and that is why it has been adjourned until December, to see if my DV counselling goes well.

Look, I don't want to play down what I did, I am disgusted with myself, but I feel my medication side effects has had a part to play in terms of irritability and hostility.

I am not a violent man, that is why I have gone for a spent conviction.
