ifrom Melbourne we have gone to rams for pre approval on home loan and combined debts of 20,000, with first home buyers and a guarantor we got approval for 299,000, now we found a property and put in an offer and then security bond of 25,000 , paper work has been completed and finance cannot be done due to guarantor financial entanglements,we are told that we now owe 25,000. is there any way we can get out of this as we feel it was down to rams for not doing there job correctly? It isi usual to get unconditional loan approvement from a lender before signing and handing over the deposit.

You may be in some difficulty here.

You need to speak with the ombudsman

Explain that you were of the belief that you had approval, and that rams was negligent in their advice.

They will make a Judgement call.
