Our son who is 30 years old, born and raised in South Australia…

Our son who is 30 years old, born and raised in South Australia is at present waiting for a court hearing in Western Australia because he was caught with a jar of psylocybin mushrooms and a very small amount of marijuana in his car when pulled over by WA Police at 3am in a very remote part of the WA highway heading north towards Carnarvon on the WA coast in the last 6 weeks. Unfortunately our son has a medical disability called Klinfelters Syndrome which basically affects the choices he makes, his general organisation and seeing the 'big picture'. He finds it almost impossible to plan ahead and determine possible outcomes through his actions. He is easily led and responds to requests from so called friends that may be inappropriate in seeking personal popularity.eg. in delivering 'mushrooms' to Exmouth. (Which was recorded in a text message and recorded on his mobile phone which the police have confiscated to use as evidence. Although 30 years old is quite immature in his years. This has always been the case. His court appearance is planned for 30th August 2013. My husband and I are of course concerned and we feel he needs some legal representation. My husband is willing to fly to WA for the hearing but of course wants to be prepared and able to help the outcome be as positive as possible.
