I am currently based in Australia and looking to open a massage

Customer Question

I am currently based in Australia and looking to open a massage therapy and spa parlour aimed at females.
It would provide all the standard services but also have the option of full body massages with "happy endings".
Heres the details, it would be non sexual and non penetrative.
The workers would not be aroused.

It is aimed to target the emotional and sensual side of female nature by creating desire, attraction and anticipation to enhance the experience and set the mood.
In terms of physical contact, its all external and simply a sensual massage.

Would this type of business be legal?
(Providing it has strict regulations on health and safety)

Good Morning,

Thank you for your question. To Introduce myself I am a sydney based Solicitor and will do my best to provide you with relevant information to assist you.

There is nothing against the law for opening a business that provides massage.

If in any way involves a sexual nature then it is not a massage at a brothel and you would need to get the appropriate approvals from council and would have to meet various standards.

Even doing massage there are certain health standards that must be met and the council will advise you of those.

But there is nothing illegal about what you are proposing.

The sexual side may be an issue and it may be a brothel licence you require.

I assume by happy endings you mean something sexual?
