Verified was wanting to know what sort of charge I would be facing and if there was anything I could do to help me, this took place in western Australia
You will be charged with three offences, drink driving, fleeing the scene of an accident, and also careless driving.
Provided this is your first offence I would estimate you will receive a $1200 fine and a 9 month license suspension with a conviction being recorded.
As for what you can do, provided this is your first offence, you should use the duty solicitor when you appear in Court. The duty solicitor will address the Magistrate on your behalf. There is no need to hire your own criminal law solicitor for this as the penalty would be unlikely to be much lower.
