I would like to know about my legal rights as a Perth
I would like to know about my legal rights as a Perth citizen. On Sunday the 10th of July my husbands ex partner came to take their son out of his care by trying to unlawfully take him from our house. She came with her mother and tried to open the gate to our backyard. My husband told them to leave and sodid I. The ex partners mother called me a whore and I said that it was written in a document they made at mediation that the boy was still meant to be in our care and that they couldn't take him. They proceeded to run to the side of the house and entered the front gate onto the premises. They were in our side yard. I was screaming for them to leave and they were recording me with their phones. I put the child inside the house and then the mother of the child and her mother proceeded to run to the front door and the mother was screaming “I want my son”. I was terrified she was going to run through the door so I held the child who is 7 and hid behind the wall of my bathroom. I then handed the child to his father and went out the front and screamed at them to leave. They called the police and the police came and took them off the property. Now I'm being served a VRO by them and that I withheld their child. If this goes to court what are my rights and can they be fined for trespassing and trying to take the child when it wasn't their time? … read more
