My father died in 2006 and six, I was made executor of his will, basically everything was left to his second wife, except for the house and land which was left to me wit ha provision that his second wife could live in the house indefinately. I had a 3 year legal battle to get the title to the house in my name because his second wife had her name put on the title 6 weeks prior to his death under suspicious circumstances (not his death but the way she got her name on the title). My fathers second wife has moved out of the house and I have been able to sell the house. The question I have is reference to my brother who was not included in the will (no mention of him at all) and my father definately did not want him to be included. He has been enstranged from my Mother and father since 1986/87. My mother died in 2002. He has now popped up out of the woodwork and wanting to know what is happening, his exact words are with reference to the sale of the house "Does this mean that the estate is able to be wound up and I can find out what is to happen in the final wash up? Can I now see mum and dad's wills?" I gave him a copy of Dad's will about 5-6 years ago. My question is does he have any legal claim to anything and after this period of over 6 years can he contest the will. Dad lived in Western Australia and both myself and brother live in Queensland.
