The law will not stand in the way of any agreement between you and your Wife.
You have a few options,
1. Seek another financial institution to refinance and pay out.
2. Have the wife payout the loan and have an agreement to pay her back. You can sign an agreement to pay it back. It is legal.
3. Give the wife in return for payment something else in the marriage.
Otherwise, there is little option outside of the above.
She needs tobe aware that if you default on the loan, she willbe chased by the bank also, as the loan is in her name.
