In queensland, is it the responsibility of the tenant to pump…

I noted on the NSW AND vic RTA sites that it states under utilities that it is the responsibility or the tenant to pump out the septic unless the put in writing that hey have an issue e.g. just moved in and the septic tank had to be pumped. This is not clear in the QLD act or in the RTA documents.

Your response seems to say all states but the RTA sites for NSW and Vic seem to be different. I am not clear on this answer based on this information

I understand your response but it has not answered my question. The property has a sceptic tank, this tank gets filled by use over a period of the tenancy. Before the tenant moved in the tank was clear, the tenant has lived in the premises for 3 years and as such has filled the tank . It now needs to be pumped out which is not a government duty, it is private enterprise who are contacted to clear the sceptic tank. The landlord is resposnible for paying the rates which includes water rates, but as this property is not connected to the sewerage there are no sewerage rates.

One site i visited was called www.tenants.org.au , this outlines the responsiblity of the landlord and tenant as it relates to pumping out a sceptic tank, there is a similar site for Victoria, but there is no site for QLD and the tenancy act does not clearly outline the action.
