I live in Australia with my 21 yr old daughter . 4 weeks ago her father passed away. His estate was left with public trust. She is the sole beneficiary, however the will states his home goes to her when she is 25. We are already unhappy with public trust and the fees they will collect over the next 3 years will be astronomical. We have just discovered the will does not have his occupation, or address and no action has been taken by public trust yet, however I did just receive an email from them saying they were now able to go ahead as their legal team had notified them the incomplete will, which was signed by her father, is ok. We are wondering if we can change the executor of the will to a lawyer and also contest the will as in the property being handed over now, instead of in 3 years … read more
