Good Afternoon
I believe it is a scam and you should not pay any money.
If there is money owing to you they should have provided you with more evidence than a letter.
They should provide you with copies o any claim that was lodged. Copies of Death Certificates.
Fortis Bank does not appear to be a bank in the UK that I can locate. It appears to be linked with the French Group BNP Paribas.
I would not send them any money but would contact the ACCC and see if they have any information about them.
