in the initial quote they said you had to pay for them?
If that is the case you have agreed to the cancellation policy and they are under no obligation to pay you all your deposit.
They are 4.5 years old and not covered under warranty. It is something that you should have negotiated with them before signing.
You can take the matter to the department of Consumer Affairs in your state and ask them to decide on who is correct.
But if they quoted the lot at the beginning the situation is that they made their position clear and you had all the information before you agreed to the contract.
I believe that your chances of success are slim as the damage was not caused due to poor workmanship or faulty materials.
